Marker Flare 2

Here's a bit more. Watch this space while I work on this style. Just noticed that Phil Frost uses markers in exactly the same way... legend.

Marker Flares

Just realised that you can get really nice flare effects with a marker by tilting it as you draw the lines... not quite there yet, it's going to take a bit more practice.

"Aisha" Uppercase

Quite happy with this one. I think 11, 27 and 35 are my favourites.

CrayOne

This guy just rules it, his handstyles are the best I've seen. I'm not sure how much tweaking goes on after he has tagged it, probably a bit, but they look sickening.

The only criticism I can come up with is that he is a bit trigger-happy with his stars, but that is a minor.

Wildstyle

It's becoming difficult now to think of new words to write, but this is a classic. Really reminds me of the old school NYC graff we all know from Subway art and Spraycan Art, but done in my own style.

I'm digging the 'e' at the end, never done one like that before. This one also looks like it has potential to be turned into a full-colour piece... watch this space.

"Ellie" Uppercase

Already did a load of tags for this customer, but they were apparently too hard to read. I couldn't really make them more simple than this, but are they still 'tags'?

I've always loved the secret language of graffiti, the way you sometimes have to be a writer to read the letters. I like the 'old-school' easy-to-read letters too, like the 'Rollercoaster' designs I did, but I'm not too sure about this one...

...still, the customer is always right...

Tag Practice

This is a good exercise- trying to write your tag differently to how you would usually.

I like the word 'decal' because there are two ways of writing a 'd', an 'e' and an 'a'.

Decal Tag, Elaborate

It's all about the over elaborate tag today. More is more.

Loving these bus stop tags at the moment; white ink, mop and glass.

Natural Graffiti

Stuff like this is great. There are hundreds of letters in there!

Yes I know it is just a cracked lamp post. But the resemblance is amazing.

"Mariam" Wildstyle

Another pendant design that was never used, a bit more gothic than my usual style.

Concept designs for "Rollercoaster", a drum & bass night in Brixton, London.

Will probably never be used, but I like them anyway.

Please leave a comment! Often people say my tag style is too hard to read, so help me find the right balance.

Cheers,

Decal RWC.
